Domingos storm: 13 departments on orange vigilance

Domingos storm: 13 departments on orange alert – (FranceInfo)

Storm Domingos is currently blowing over part of France. 13 departments are on orange alert.

On the coast of Lacanau (Gironde), storm Domingos arrives on Saturday November 4, and the gusts are felt. “It’s quite spectacular, the noise, the wind, the power that it represents,” says a local resident. Further north, in Vendée, the wind is close to 100 km/h and the rough ocean attracts the curious. “It impresses me, but I’m not afraid,” a woman laughs.

Foresight among residents

Three days after the passage of storm Ciaran, traders lowered their curtains again. “We are going to bring everything back to the bottom of the pergola”, specifies a trader. In La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), some have difficulty resisting the force. In the port, boaters are preparing for a stormy night, like Michel Avril, who is going to sleep in his boat. Near Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), a restaurateur, met by the Franceinfo teams, does not plan to sleep at night.
