Météo France placed 13 departments on orange vigilance for storms this Sunday morning. Stormy episodes will start in the early afternoon in Auvergne before moving to the south-west and will go up towards the Center-Val-de-Loire at the end of the day.
The departments concerned are: Gironde, Charente, Vienne, Haute Vienne, Dordogne, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Corrèze, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Cantal, Haute-Loire and Loire.
Wind gusts and hailstorms
“_A stormy episode not exceptional for the season but which can generate strong gusts and hailstorms”, specifies Météo France. Vigilance is for now maintained until 4 p.m.
Heat records for a month of May were again broken in several places yesterday, in particular 34.4°C in Albi, 32.4°C in Mende or 31.7°C in Aurillac.
