The coach of the XIII of France has unveiled the list of 24 players who will participate in the Rugby League World Cup. Les Bleus will face Greece, England and Samoa in the first round. In this list of 24 players are thirteen players from the Catalans Dragons squad. The Salséen Morgan Escaré, who plays in Salford and Eloi Pélissier, from Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, are also selected.
Laurent Frayssinous (coach of the XIII of France): “I am delighted with the quality of the group that will participate in the World Cup and like any coach, complicated choices had to be made. The disappointment of the unselected players as well as the smiles of the selected players testify to the importance and the great desire to wear the blue jersey. We had to compensate for the packages of Julian Bousquet, Romain Navarette and Théo Fages due to injuries like Lucas Albert.“
