12 people including two police officers are in custody

Twelve arrests were made by the IGPN, the “police of the police”, and the Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime on the rogatory commission of an investigating judge from Bobigny. These twelve people, including two police officers, were taken into custody on Tuesday. They would be involved in a vast affair of corruption and trafficking in stolen cars, indicates a police source.

Two police officers from the Paris region would be involved in this traffic

One of the police officers is suspected of having fraudulently consulted the File of stolen vehicles at the request of his former colleague.

The other, assigned to the Saint-Ouen police station (Seine-Saint-Denis), is suspected of having deleted from the File stolen vehicles, cars found, without notifying their owners.

He would then have offered them, for a commission, to a network of traffickers responsible for making up and reselling these cars.

The case was juicy

The ten other arrests took place in Marseille, Orléans, Toulouse and Perpignan.

About sixty vehicles are involved in this traffic. The damage would be around one million euros, indicates the same police source.

It is a whole network of suspected traffickers of stolen cars that would have been dismantled.
