Of the 26 schoolchildren and three adults examined, 12 children were diagnosed in absolute emergency. Five of them were airlifted to hospitals in Brest and Saint-Brieuc to be placed in a hyperbaric chamber, also called a decompression chamber, often used to treat oxycarbon poisoning such as carbon monoxide.

The NoVi (Numerous Victims) plan is activated to coordinate relief efforts. A significant number of emergency services were present on site: 50 firefighters deployed on site, Samu teams, 16 ambulances, three helicopters and nine fire engines.
