At the start of the year, the police continued their effective fight against drug trafficking in Côte-d’Or. The national police, the national gendarmerie, customs, and the prison administration made seizures representing a monetary equivalent of €2,170.29.
116 operations carried out in January
116 operations have been carried out since the beginning of the year in the department. In particular, they allowed the seizure of:
• 225 kg of cannabis (estimated resale price of €2.025 million)
• 293.60 g of cocaine (estimated resale price of €19,377)
• 378.70 g of heroin (estimated resale price of €12,497)
• €108,661 in cash
Also seized:
• 52.8 g of Ketamine (estimated resale price of €2,376)
• 197 vials of methadone (estimated resale price of €1,970)
• 32 hallucinogenic mushrooms (estimated resale price €320)
• 18 tablets of amphetamine (estimated resale price €90)
These operations led to the indictment of 39 people. In addition, during the month of January, the vigilance and insight of the customs services notably enabled the seizure of 3.8 million euros of drugs during simultaneous operations in Arc-sur-Tille and Chalon-sur-Saône. .
All these operations are carried out under the authority of the prefect of the Côte-d’Or and the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, Fabien SUDRY, and public prosecutor at the Dijon court, Olivier CARACOTCH.
