For eleven seasons now, “The French soap opera” of “1:15 p.m. Sunday“(X, #1:15 p.m.) sets out to meet citizens and recount their daily lives, the good and bad times they involve, delivering striking testimonies.
For this new issue, Marion Banchais and the “13h15” team went to interview citizens. How did the month of January go by for everyone, with the news turned upside down by the anger of farmers?
Busy everyday heroes
Olivier, restaurateur in Arques, in Hauts-de-France, had managed to reopen its establishment after the floods, on December 21, 2024. But all its efforts were ruined in a few hours with a second rise in water. However, he does not let himself be discouraged: he has decided to work hard to reopen his restaurant very soon.
In this month of January, the peak of winter sports, vacationers are there and so are accidents. David, a helicopter pilot for high mountain rescue, continues his rotations. And each rescue is a new challenge.
At roadblocks, angry farmers are organizing to continue running their farms. Bertrand, spearhead of this protest, juggles between mobilization and care of his animals. For his part, Antoine, a history and geography teacher, stays alert every morning at the college entrance. He motivates, flushes out and catches up with students who are tempted to slip away before going to class.
