“1:15 p.m. on Sunday.” The French soap opera > Season 11 / Episode 5 (part 1)

For its series “The French soap opera” (2023-2024 season), the magazine “1:15 p.m. on Sunday” went as close as possible to the French, to the heart of their daily lives.

For eleven seasons now, “The French soap opera” of “1:15 p.m. Sunday” (X, #1:15 p.m.) sets out to meet citizens and recount their daily lives, the good and bad times they involve, delivering striking testimonies.

For this new issue, Marion Banchais and the “13h15” team went to interview citizens. How did the month of January go by for everyone, with the news turned upside down by the anger of farmers?

The fight of farmers and that of a teacher

Bertrand is a breeder in Haute-Garonne, and he is the cause of one of the biggest motorway blockages. Mobilized since the beginning of the movement, he is determined that the conditions of his profession will evolve. At her side, Lou-Anne, young farmer, Miss France Agricole 2024. She dreams of one day having her own farm.

Two generations, the same fight, now spread across the entire territory. The “1:15 p.m. on Sunday” teams will also be alongside Antoine, a history and geography teacher in a Toulouse college. At a time of “demographic rearmament” announced by Emmanuel Macron, he devotes his energy to fighting against school dropouts, against fake news, and to developing critical thinking among the new generation.

Bertrand and his fellow farmers are impatiently awaiting announcements from the government on whether or not to lift the blockade. The dismay is also felt among Olivier, restaurateur in Hauts-de-France. Flooded for the first time, it must face a new rise in water levels.
