Maëlys de Araujo, disappeared on the night of Saturday August 26 to Sunday August 27, 2017, during a wedding party in Pont-de-Beauvoisin, in the department of Isère. Nordahl Lelandais, a former army dog handler, was quickly suspected. He appears from January 31 to February 18, 2022 before the Assize Court of Isère for the kidnapping, kidnapping and murder of the little girl.
Justice had three weeks to try to crack the accused, now 38 years old. One investigator described him as “a block of concrete stuck in the ice“, without affect or empathy, say the psychological expertise. He finally admitted having kidnapped the little girl, in the middle of the night, having given her fatal blows, but he did not explain his action. Why? What was his motive?
