The fire started in a second floor apartment, and quickly spread to the upper two floors. “When help arrives, there are three apartments on fire, and a movement of panic with all the doors opening, and people at the windows.“, details Commander Antoine Savey, in charge of firefighter operations. A dozen people trapped by the smoke were evacuated by ladders.
