The historic center of Porto Alegre (Brazil) is disfigured by unprecedented flooding. The capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul is deserted, it is impossible to live in these neighborhoods which are still under several meters of water. Further rain is expected on Friday May 10. In the outskirts of the metropolis too, many residents fled but some decided to stay. More than 100 people have died, 134 are missing and 327,000 have been evacuated.
A rescued horse
