One hundred security officers will be hired by the Autonomous Paris Transport Authority (RATP) by the end of 2022, reports France Bleu Paris on Monday January 31. These security agents, the GPSR, will be hired with a basic salary of 2,000 euros per month.
“There are many candidates but very few elected”explains to France Bleu Paris Didier Robidoux, the director of security at the RATP. “We will retain one candidate out of 70”with, at the end of the day, a difficult selection, where the candidates will be tested on their physical, intellectual and psychotechnical faculties.
These agents will hold a weapon. “They will be sworn in by the public prosecutor and will therefore have major responsibilities”continues the director of security, who adds that “it’s really an assumed choice to take only the best.”
In addition, the RATP aims to hire more than 6,700 new employees in 2022.
