An incestuous father already convicted in the past for sexual contact with his daughter when she was barely three years old was sentenced again for a repeat offense when she was a teenager. A “heinous” crime described the judge, overcome by emotion when sentencing the unworthy father to 10 years in prison.
The deviant individual, whose identity cannot be revealed in order to protect that of his victim, was sentenced for the first time in 2014 to 36 months of detention for acts of a sexual nature. The first events, going as far as acts of sodomy, took place when his little daughter was barely three years old.
In 2021, when the victim, aged 17, went to her grandparents’ house to “visit her father”, another series of attacks occurred.
The complainant, suffering from a slight intellectual disability, would have wanted at that moment to “test if her father had changed”.
But clearly the monster was still the same.

When the young girl brought her face close to her father’s while he was lying on a couch, the pedophile kissed her. And when she got on top of him, the man touched her private parts before penetrating her.
“After the event, the victim told her father that she did not want it to happen again,” insisted Judge Sarah-Julie Chicoine in her sentencing decision.
But the accused, sadly, had nothing to do with his daughter’s refusal. Two more full-length sexual encounters took place during this weekend of horror.
On her return to the Youth Center where she was staying, encouraged by her father, the young teenager will tell her workers that she is in love and that she wants to have a relationship with her father when she is an adult.
And her paternal grandmother will even tell the authorities that it is the young girl who “searched for what happened”.
The judge upset
After recounting these ignoble facts and the numerous consequences they had on the development and different spheres of the adolescent’s life, Judge Chicoine’s throat was tight with emotion as she addressed “the life story of the most unfortunate” of the victim.
“The offender is the victim’s only parental figure. It is the duty of a parent to protect their child,” insisted the magistrate. “The crimes committed by the offender are serious to the point where they are beyond the comprehension of a reasonable person.”
The court thus hoped that the 10-year sentence and all the orders made against the offender would allow this broken young woman to rebuild her life.
“In the absence of reparation, the court hopes that this sentence will provide him with a sense of security allowing him to concentrate on his own healing.”
Offender to control
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to sexual interference and incest in October 2022. Due to the high risk of reoffending, the accused has been declared a long-term offender and will be subject to long-term supervision. for 10 years after his release from prison.
He will also be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
These orders emanate in particular from the conclusions of the experts who evaluated him and who conclude that there is a high risk of committing other offenses of this type.
A psychologist who met him concluded in particular that “the usual surveillance measures would probably not be long or restrictive enough for the risk to be controlled in the community”.
As he has already served the equivalent of 57 months in detention since his arrest, the incestuous father will have five years and three months left to serve.
