The museum is currently located on Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, and its move was announced a few months ago.

“While the City Council has recognized the month of May as Jewish Heritage Month, the City reiterates its commitment to celebrating the great contributions of the Jewish community to the development of Montreal and to fighting daily against anti-Semitism in the metropolis”, underlined the mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, during the Yom Hashoah ceremony, dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

“In a context marked by the rise of discrimination against minorities, teaching about the Holocaust remains essential to form citizens who are vigilant and respectful of diversity,” added Richard Schnurbach, President of the Holocaust Museum. .
