Kellyanne Conway, who was at the helm of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign before taking on the role of senior advisor, came to the defense of her former boss following remarks made by Mark Cuban, who suggested that the ex-president does not surround himself with capable individuals.
“You never see Donald Trump with strong, intelligent women. It’s quite straightforward. They intimidate him. He dislikes being challenged by them. Just look at how Nikki Haley confronts him about reproductive rights and his views on women. He simply can’t have her in his presence; it’s just not feasible,” stated the 66-year-old Shark Tank star during an episode of The View on Thursday, October 31.
In retaliation, Conway, aged 57, remarked: “This reveals their desperation and concern, as they are uncertain about whether they are backing a strong, intelligent woman for the presidency. [Kamala Harris] is either lagging in the polls or possibly tied.”
“I’m here at the Ellipse with the White House behind me, speaking to you without a teleprompter. I recall during my time working for President Trump when I glanced around the Roosevelt Room and saw Brooke Rollins, Ivanka Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Mercedes Schlapp, and myself. Collectively, we had 19 children, ages two to 16. The highest-ranking officials in the White House were indeed comprised of strong, intelligent women,” she continued.
Conway didn’t hold back as she continued her critique of Mark Cuban.
“Show me an executive suite in America. Can you point to any of Mark Cuban’s business ventures where top positions are held by working mothers with children aged two to 16? You won’t find it. It matters little to me what those driven by desperation say. My priority is to defend the millions of strong, intelligent women who plan to cast their votes for Donald Trump next Tuesday, and who have already done so. Whether it’s Joe Biden labeling us as garbage or mega MAGA extremists, or Hillary calling us deplorable and irredeemable, and now Mark Cuban questioning whether women around Trump can be strong and intelligent—their elitism and direct insults to the American populace are causing them to lose this election,” she asserted.

After Cuban’s remarks, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to the reality star’s comments.
“Joe Biden labeled Trump supporters as garbage, and now Kamala’s primary spokesperson, Mark Cuban, has implied that female Trump supporters are ‘weak and dumb.’ This is grossly insulting to the thousands of women working for President Trump, as well as the tens of millions of women who are voting for him. These women are industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and mothers, and they are undoubtedly strong AND intelligent, contrary to what Mark Cuban and Kamala Harris assert,” the statement declared.
“The enthusiasm at Kamala’s headquarters has transformed into division, hostility, and an alarming level of disrespect toward the millions of Americans supporting President Trump after four years of chaos under Kamala Harris,” continued Leavitt. “Women are looking for a President who will prioritize securing our borders, eliminating violent criminals from our neighborhoods, and improving our financial situation—and that’s precisely why we support President Trump. Kamala Harris must swiftly denounce Mark Cuban’s disrespectful comments toward women.”
